HBT Insurance was founded in Auburn, WA in 1936. Bill Cowart and Bob Klontz formed the Professional Financial Group (PFG) in 1989, and they purchased HBT in 1993. Building from the foundation of the previous owners, Bob and Bill set out to create a community centered insurance business dedicated to its customers and to the belief that a strong relationship will go a long way.
The agency has over 20 employees, with 10 dedicated to personal lines production or customer care. HBT is focused on relationship and fit. They want carriers and customers they can have a solid relationship with, making PEMCO a natural choice.
Both owners and most of the employees grew up, and still live, in or near Auburn. Many local families are insured at HBT, know someone who is insured there, or know someone who works there.
Their large digital sign along Auburn Way North is used to promote the agency, and also events important to local residents. HBT supports and volunteers at:
